The National Museum of Costa Rica offers an exhibition that will take you back in time to the splendor of Art Deco.
In the beginning they were private houses, however, they became the home of the first and second commanders with their respective families, during the time of the Bellavista Barracks. Later, when the building became the headquarters of the National Museum, they were used by the Meteorological Service and the Garden Club.
These rooms keep in their walls the beauty of San José's patrimonial art and architecture. You can visit it during museum hours from Tuesday to Sunday. In addition, there are temporary exhibitions of painting, photography and art in general for visitors to enjoy new proposals constantly.
