Project Description

The National Theatre along with the University of Costa Rica stage the classic Greek tragedy Oedipus Rex.  Enjoy it at the Theatre on October 19, 20, 25, 26 and 27.  Friday and Saturday presentations begin at 8pm, Sunday presentations begin at 5pm.

The play tells the story of Oedipus, who can´t seem to run away from the oracle and his destiny.  After becoming King of Tebas, he comes to discover his true origins as well as his wife´s, Yocasta. It is full of surprising twists and is a must as part of your general cultural bucket list.
