Ever since its time as Renaissance cradle up until modern times, Venetia has always attracted art enthusiasts.  While Rome was the power epicenter, Venetia always represented luxury and refinement.  This is reflected in its paintings, were the graduation of light and the richness in color play a major part of the influence that this movement had on western artists.
