This Oasis in the middle of the city is a natural laboratory and an ecosystem by itself. The garden’s infrastructure has been constructed inside the historic former military base, which now houses the National Museum of Costa Rica. At the Butterfly Garden you will learn about different stages in a butterfly’s life cycle and will be able to appreciate different species and the flora that grows along with them.
