Some say any relationship comes to a turning point at its seventh anniversary. This year, the International Film Festivalcompletes seven years of bringing the best of the seventh Art to Costa Rica, and it promises to keep doing it for many more years to come!  Costa Rica opens its doors to the Independent Film Industry from March 28^ththrough April 6^th, 2019. Let´s go to the movies!

The main theaters to be used in the Festival are Teatro de la Aduana, Cine Magaly and Sala Garbo.  All these theaters are only 10 minutes away from Apartotel La Sabana!  Some of the productions will also be shown outside the GAM.  Such is the case of national production El Baile de la Gacela, to be shown in Pérez Zeledón and Grecia.  For full listings and schedules, visit https://www.costaricacinefest.go.cr

This year, I will pick one foreign film and one Costa Rican film.  The choice depends on individual tastes of course, but also on the mood we are currently in!  For this period of my life, I have chosen the Argentinian/Dutch/Mexican/Uruguay comedy called Tanta Agua.  I will also be enjoying the Costa Rican film El Baile de la Gacela, directed by Ivan Porras.

No doubt, there is something for every taste and mood. Find your film and allow it to move and inspire you!  Don´t let this great opportunity slip by.  Choose a film, get your popcorn and… let´s go to the movies!
